A Note to Soccer Players Considering Washington University in St Louis

The mission of our soccer program is to support all academic endeavor and to compete for the Division 3 national

championship. Many players want an institution and program with the same objectives.

The residential camp is designed to see if we can partner together to reach these goals.

While at camp you will garner much of the information needed to assess our university and soccer program.  You will

know the broad and flexible educational opportunities available at the university.  You will have a taste for campus

dining plus residential living and campus life.  You will have a measure of the playing opportunities within the university

soccer program.  You will know how well you mesh with the coach and some present players.   You will know how

current student athletes balance the demands of playing soccer with academics and social life.

To top it off, you will establish friendships with others that will attend and play soccer at WU.

The parameters are laid out at camp. There is no guessing.

All the details of a campus visit are occur as part of the camp itinerary.  You will meet the director of admissions,

be able to arrange an on admissions interview, enjoy a campus tour, live in the dormitories and eat campus food.

You will grasp if you 'fit' the institution.  All the while you will be playing five or six hours of soccer each day.

Each year sizable number of camp participants choose to apply to the university and a number of them play on the varsity team.

In fact, nearly forty percent of the the 2007 Washington University Men's Soccer team, was first seen play at the residential camp.

The camp has proven to be the best way to bring strong student / soccer players, the eyes of the coaching staff and our university

together.

Please plan to attend the our camp.  If you have any questions please call or email me. I look forward to seeing you this summer.

Best Regards
